David Snook Photography Blog: New Bern, NC Photographer – Portraits, Families, Children, Beach, Parties, Events bio picture

Welcome!

Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Photography is my passion! It is my honor and privilage to share this passion with you.

I have enjoyed creating beautiful images for many years. My passion for photography began in high school. Shortly after my wife and I had our first child in 1996, I became serious about photography again. I have captured many special moments in both of my childrens' lives over the years. It is incredible how photography can impact us in such a powerful way and bring back the joy and emotion of those moments.

In the summer of 2007, after much prayer and thoughtful consideration, David Snook Photography was born. My first session was on 7/7/07. How cool is that!

It is my aim to capture the same beautiful, timeless images full of joy and emotion for you, as I have been privileged to capture for my family. I am certain you enjoy your photographs and pray they will be a blessing to you.

Mother’s Day Gift

The father of the children in these photos hired me to do this photo shoot as a Mother’s Day present. The kid’s were great to work with and did very well in front of the camera. In spite of their age difference the children had a close bond, which I was privileged to capture a bit of with my camera.

Asheville Vacation

Our family took a vacation to Asheville NC over spring break. We had an awesome time. The girls were to young to remember the last time they saw the mountains, so they were ecstatic when the mountains first came into view. The place we stayed at was incredible. It was a two bedroom cabin nestled in the mountains, yet right off from a nice area of town. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. There was a stocked pond and several waterfalls. The girls loved the game room, especially the air hockey table. The pictures aren’t the best, the light was terrible, but I wanted to share the experience. It was great spending time together as a family without the stress and pressure of our jobs.

Birthday Party

My wife and I did a shoot for a birthday party a few weeks ago. The theme was Prom night. Everyone was dressed for the occasion and looked fabulous. Here are a few shots.

Playground

We have a playground just down the street from our house. It only takes a few minutes to walk there so it is wonderfully convenient. The kids love to play there and I love to photograph them having a terrific time.

Mike’s Farm

I am just starting to get got up with processing some of my family’s photos from the past several months, so I thought I would share some things we have been doing. These are some pictures from a trip to Mike’s Farm. We fed the animals, went on a hayride, climbed up on an old tractor and ate at a nice family style restaurant. It was a great time.

What kid doesn’t like climbing up on an old tractor?

My youngest daughter loves animals. She would like to be a vet when she grows up.

This wagon made a cool prop for a photo.
